Super Moon in Pisces —
Release the illusion of ego to choose
peace, hope and partnership.
A full moon falls in Pisces on August 29, 2015, at 2:36 p.m. (ET). This is called a super moon because of its proximity to the earth, so it will feel more powerful than a traditional full moon. The Moon is conjunct Neptune in Pisces opposing the Sun and Jupiter in Virgo. The Moon merging with Neptune in Pisces increases our intuition, and empathy — we are feeling more sensitive and emotional at this super moon. Neptune may dissolve our grip on reality as we focus on fulfilling a dream, but Saturn will pressure us to keep things real!
Saturn, ending his lessons in Scorpio, has been helping us to confront our demons and release burdens we have taken on that do not contribute to our self worth or inner happiness. Full moons often signal the end of a cycle. We may be gently saying good-bye to unhealthy habits and relationships as confusing or deceptive situations that have influenced our lives over the past three years begin to dissolve. Are we sacrificing too much for others? Do we need to set limits to demands on our time or energy? Are we being the victim or the vampire? What truths about our capacity for intimacy do we need to face and accept?
Expansive Jupiter shakes hands with the regal Sun to increase our luck, optimism and confidence — an ego boost from the stars! We must be careful not to let this abundant energy in picky Virgo make us too petty or critical as we focus on details of a work or health situation. The details may kick up some impatient, in-your-face “dust devils” with Uranus in warrior Aries irritating Dark Moon Lilith in Virgo. Send those devils packing — practice compassion and forgiveness instead!
Venus and Mars are still dancing in playful Leo, encouraging us to express our authentic selves in a dramatic way as Pluto in Capricorn transforms the way we are being seen in the world. We must work to own our personal power and welcome the transformation, even if it means letting go of the familiar, or standing up to intimidating forces working to prevent our growth.
Mercury conjunct the North Node in Libra shows us that the way out of any conflict that might come to a head during this super moon is through diplomatic communication, negotiation and partnership. We must choose a path that does not only feed our egos, but also seeks harmony, peace and justice for all beings on planet Earth.
A good way to handle the emotional energy of this nebulous moon is to schedule some down time, recharge our energy and seek answers from within. We may need to create art or music, meditate, go swimming, visit a place near or on water. It is important that we get our rest now to be ready for the volatile eclipses coming in September.
