July 2020 Eclipse TarotScopes—Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Capricorn, Mercury Stations Direct!

The Full Moon Lunar Eclipse at 13 degrees Capricorn happens just after midnight on July 5, 2020, (EDT). This is the last eclipse cycle on the Cancer/Capricorn axis that we have been dealing with for the past 2 years. The next series of eclipses will visit the Gemini/Sagittarius axis as the nodes of the moon visit those signs in the coming months. For now, Saturn will have the last word as he visits his hometown in Capricorn before moving into Aquarius at the end of the year. Projects and events are coming to completion at this lunation, and truths will be revealed around work, relationships, home, and family—with the need to find balance between them all. Situations that emerge from this eclipse cycle will be in effect for the next 6 months, until the next Lunar Eclipse in November.

The disciplined Moon in Capricorn is moving toward a conjunction with Jupiter and Pluto in Capricorn, while the Sun, in nurturing, sensitive Cancer, forms an opposition to this heavy Capricorn energy. This can bring both opportunity and power struggles to our work and family relationships. Are we working so hard on our goals that we don’t have time to spend with friends and family, to recharge and nurture ourselves? Jupiter in Capricorn can have us taking on too much, thinking that we can do it all as opportunities appear around us. We may learn at the Full Moon that we can’t, and will need to make adjustments.

Pluto in Capricorn is transforming the rigid structures we have created within our lives. We may experience power struggles with authority figures, or alternately must learn how to successfully work with power—over our own lives and with those close to us. Truths that are revealed at the Full Moon may spark sudden decisions or the need to take action. We may receive rewards for hard work if we have been taking responsibility and showing commitment to our goals. If not, we may experience failures that— after the shocks and revelations— will put us on new paths to success and fulfillment.

Mercury in sensitive Cancer will be in a tense aspect to Mars and Chiron in Aries for most of July. While we may need to have healing conversations about what is upsetting us at this time, there is a danger of speaking or acting too quickly. We may find quarrels erupting over things that would not have bothered us in the past. We must watch our words, and learn to communicate in a non-aggressive way. With warrior Mars in his home sign of Aries, this may be difficult. Just remember—”it is not what you say, but how you say it” that will make all the difference. We may need to “bite our tongues” or think carefully before speaking out of line or delivering “fighting words” at this time. Mercury stations direct on July 12th bringing relief from misunderstandings and delays in communication, but we still need to be careful with our style of delivery as she tangles with impatient Mars.

Blessings will come from Uranus in Taurus forming a favorable trine aspect to the Full Moon Eclipse. Sudden surprising events may appear to free us from oppressive situations. People, lovers and jobs may be eclipsed from our lives at this Full Moon, but it will all be for the best since we will no longer be wasting energy on dead, stagnant situations. Uranus in Taurus will lead us to freedom, security, and a more authentic life as we move from the land of the dead to the realm of the living.
