We haven’t had a full moon on Christmas since 1977, and this one falls in emotional Cancer, 3 degrees, at 11:11 a.m. (UT) (5:11 a.m. CT) on December 25, 2015. There are no challenging aspects to this full moon. The Sun in Capricorn represents wisdom, experience, authority, commitment, and paternal energy. The moon in Cancer speaks to motherhood, sensitivity, our emotional need to nurture and feed those we love. At this moon, we are called to balance and honor the energies of cosmic Mother and Father, the divine masculine and feminine within. This is a time when we may be feeling more sensitive or intuitive than usual. The moon’s energies may bring delicate feelings to the surface. What do we need to nurture or give birth to in our lives? What do we need from others to feel at more home or supported in our lives? Where do we need to take responsibility and work to enhance or use our leadership ability? What goals are coming to completion at this time? How do we want to be seen in society?
Neptune, planet of dreams, intuition, and spirituality, sends blessings to this full moon. If we have been working toward a dream or creative project, this full moon can bring it to life. This is also a good time for meditation, connecting with our higher selves, the divine within, to find answers and guidance on our spiritual path. We may feel the need to show more love and compassion for others through the work we do. However, our care for others must not originate from pity, but from a deep feeling of unity and connection. Neptune’s job is to dissolve the ego so that we can remember that we are all one in divine spirit as we open our hearts to help one another.

Things that have been stuck will begin to move again, completing the transformation that has been operating over the past 3 years during the Pluto/Uranus aspect — now beginning to fade as Uranus moves forward in Aries.
